ADOPTER’S AGREEMENT

Agreement 1

I agree that the dog is being adopted for myself and will not be sold, adopted to another party.

I agree to treat this dog as a family member.

I agree to care for the dog in a humane manner and be a responsible animal guardian. This includes supplying quality food, clean water, love and medical care.

I agree to keep the dog current with vaccinations, heartworm, flea and tick preventative.

I agree that my dog will not be kept outside for extended periods of time.

I agree to never abandon this dog or to surrender it to a city or county shelter. If, for any reason, I can no longer care for this pet, I AGREE TO RETURN MY PET TO Dogs 2nd Chance.

I understand that Dogs 2nd Chance attempts to gain as much knowledge about each animal as possible and to pass this knowledge to each potential adopter. I understand that Dogs 2nd Chance may not know the true history of any of rescues or how this rescued dog will act in a new environment.

I understand and accept that changes in this pet’s environment may cause stress, which may result in “accidents” or some behavioral difficulties, especially for the first week or two following the adoptions. I am willing to work with my new pet with patience and understanding, and at no time will subject this pet to violence or cruelty.

I understand that Dogs 2nd Chance does not make any guarantees as to the health, temperament, or ultimate size of any rescue and thus cannot be held liable for any incidents related to this dog.
